Tilt Train - Train Facilities & Services
Only cash (AUD $), traveller's cheques (AUD $) and credit cards (Visa and Master Card only) are accepted onboard Traveltrain services. Personal cheques and debit cards are not accepted and EFTPOS is not available. Guests are advised to bring cash for the journey to purchase drinks and meals. Traveltrain is working towards providing customers with electronic facilities in the future.
Showers: (Cairns service only) Are located at the end of Car F and Car G, the showers provide access for all passengers including those passengers with disabilities.
Toilets: Are located at the end of all sitting cars. Toilets in Car F and Car G (on the Cairns service only) and Car A (on Bundaberg and Rockhampton services) provide access for passengers including those passengers with disabilities.
Gallery Car & Trolley Service:
- Cairns Service
A trolley service operates to each seat for light refreshments, confectionery and drinks. The gallery provides quality takeaway meals, hot and cold snacks and a liquor service. Newspapers, magazines and souvenirs are also available for purchase. View the Gallery Car & Trolley Service menu.
- Bundaberg & Rockhampton Service
The gallery is located in Car E, where there is available for purchase, a range of meals, snacks, refreshments and liquor service. A trolley service to your seat is provided for Economy Class passengers serving light refreshments, confectionery and drinks during the journey. View the Gallery Car & Trolley Service menu.

Drinking fountain: Are provided at the front of most cars.
Special needs: The Tilt Trains have been designed to provide easy access for passengers with disabilities. Please advise your Travel Consultant if you have any special needs or require assistance by staff onboard.
Dietary needs: Special dietary meals are available and requests must be pre-paid and submitted at least four business days before travel. View the Special Dietary Meals menu.

Cairns Service
- Business Class Seating
Business Class offers large business style reclining seats in a two by one seating configuration where you can stretch out and relax.
Each seat has a personal entertainment system providing movie and a variety of children’s channels as well as multiple audio options ranging from comedy to current affairs. Passengers can also watch the view from the driver’s compartment with Driver Cam or view the Journey Progress Display.
There are power points (240 volt AC) at every second seat for laptop computers, cameras or game consoles.
A fold down table and foot rest is provided. Blankets and pillows are available upon request.
All Business Class seats face the direction of travel.
| Bundaberg & Rockhampton Services
- Business Class Seating
Business Class offers large business style reclining seats in a two by one seating configuration where you can stretch out and relax.
Every second Business Class seat has a power point (240 volt AC) suitable for laptop computers, digital cameras or game consoles. Business Class passengers receive a complimentary newspaper or magazine and juice when boarding and in-seat service during the journey.
The attendant call button, entertainment system and seat adjustment controls are located in the arm rest fold out table and foot rest is also provided.
Travellers can purchase a range of meals and snacks, confectionery, and refreshments from the menu.
All Business Class seats face the direction of travel.

- Economy Class Seating
The Economy Class carriages offer two seats either side of the central aisle.
The entertainment system and seat adjustment controls are located in the arm rest.
A fold down table and foot rest is also provided. All Economy Class seats face the direction of travel.

Tilt Train - Travel Restrictions
Smoking: Smoking is NOT permitted on any QR Traveltrain service, station platform or within 4 metres of any QR building or entrance.
Passenger’s luggage: All passengers may check in two items of luggage not exceeding 20 kilograms (44 pounds) each, plus one piece of carry on hand luggage free of charge. Where check-in facilities are available, luggage must be presented at least 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time and liability for loss or damage is limited to $200. Break of journey: Sector fares apply when the break of journey is more than four hours. The Sunlander stops only at stations to pick up or set down passengers who have pre-booked their travel. Refer to the timetable or ask your Travel Consultant for more details.
Unaccompanied children: Minimum age for unaccompanied children onboard Tilt Train service is 12 years old.
